Needs evaluation: Bandage lenses are inserted to minimize pain of ocular surface disease and help to promote healing. Generally they are checked in 1-3 days by the ophthalmologist who inserted the lens (you are seeing a real doctor, not an optometrist for eye disease?). You should not have this left in for a week. Return for a recheck.

Do not remove: Only your ophthalmologist should remove the bandage contact lens. It may be worn for a week if he/she instructs you to wear it that long, and you follow instructions regarding eye drops.
