Reversible: Hpv-related premalignant disease that isn't terribly severe can and often does regress. You probably still have hpv on board and he does too, but stay vigilant and this isn't a life-ruiner. If your physician is good with one or both of you getting immunized, go for it. Normal is true: Most women under 20 who have abnormal cervical cells as a result of hpv infection revert to normal later on as their immune system gets cranked up against the virus. If new recommendations to avoid paps under age 20 had been in place when you were 17 you may have been spared some time, money and worries. But do keep up with paps. Gardasil's best before hpv exposure occurs. Boyfriend-maybe exposed.
