Too soon to say: You can be early preg & have a "normal" period. Or there could have been a problem with the initial stages of pregnancy (not uncommon in first trimester), and your body has figured it out, so is sloughing it away (so it can try again, assuming you are ttc). Should retest about 2 weeks after menses done & see what result says.

Possible: While it is possible to get your period early in pregnancy, most of the time you will stop having periods once you're pregnant. A home pregnancy test can function as a screen. If you're trying to get pregnant, be sure you're taking a women's multivitamin, eating healthy and engaging in moderate exercise. Minimize alcohol and stop drinking completely if you are pregnant.
