A member asked:

Is it possible to be pregnant though still taking the pill, if when you stop taking the pill for 4 days you get a period still?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible, unlikely: When taken regularly the pill is very effective but nothing is 100%.Stopping contraceptive pills typically causes a "withdrawl bleed" 1-5 days later so you can't completely rule out pregnancy because of that bleeding. Best to take a pregnancy test if you are worried. If not wanting a pregnancy, continue to take the pills or consult your doctor for other methods. If pregnancy desired start folic acid
