Possible allergy: Respiratory and nasal symptoms that occur at night or in the morning are suggestive of an allergic reaction to something in the house and in particular the bedroom. An allergist can assist in identifying if the cough is asthma or post nasal drip. Allergy testing can pin point a specific cause (dust mite, animal dander, cockroach, feather pillow, etc). With that info, treatment can be successful.
