Absolutely: If you take it in excess doses or frequency, particularly if there is not adequate pain to rationalize its use, it can be addicting. If you have substantialpain and the med makes it tolerable without making you high or euphoric, then it can often safely be used, titrated up & down, and eventually stopped without problem. Risk of problems goes up if prior addiction problem. Treat pain when presen.
