Ovulation: Some people will spot at time of ovulation due to the rapid hormone changes going on. Unless you are having other problems there is likely nothing to worry about.

Mittleschmerz: Some women have some bleeding or cramping at the time of ovulation. This is called mittleschmerz. It is a sign, most likely that you ovulated. If you are trying to have a baby have intercourse around this time at least every other day! the brown spotting should disappear in a day or two. If this occurs during other moments in your cycle please see your ob/gyn.
