Intolerance/allergy: Sleep aids generally work by penetrating into the brain & disrupting the normal message carriers. By doing so, many can settle into sleep. If whatever dose you took was too disruptive, the effect may be to give you weird sensations. This is an intolerance rather than an allergic reaction, as might occur with a food or bee sting, but you could also have an allergic reaction to any med. Avoid it.
