Stone in pancreas: hi. your dad is suffering from gallstone causing jaundice. it can be taken care of by a procedure called endoscopic reterograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) performed by a gastroenterology. and yes that will cure the jaundice if that is the only underlying problem

Biliary Tract stone: A stone near where the common bile duct drains the liver can block the flow of bile from the liver and lead to jaundice. These stones can be removed by a variety of methods. Assuming there is no hidden reason (like a tumor) for the blockage and assuming no complications from the surgical procedure, the condition is curable. Often the stone can be removed in a minimally invasive technique.
