Get another opinion: When the eye is irritated, it makes mucous. Why your eye is irritated can be discovered by an ophthalmologist.

See eye doc: See ophthalmologist. May need more steroid drops. There is a syndrome called mucous fishing syndrome where patients remove stringy mucous from their eyes every day and creates viscious cycle of mucous production.
