A member asked:

I've got an eye infection in both eyes. am using tobradex, (tobramycin and dexamethasone) but am i contagious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good treatment: Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) can be helpful although most bilateral eye infections are viral and that would not be affected by tobramicin. You are contagious as long as the eye is red or getting redder. When the redness starts to fade, then you are no longer shedding virus and infectivity then ends.
