Consult with your OB: In general, it is not recommended that one lose weight or diet during pregnancy. Carrying a baby means providing him or her with all of best nutrients for development and growth. Dieting and losing weight would likely rob him or her of some of these nutrients. Consult with your ob, family doctor, or a registered dietician for specifics.
