COMPRESSION STOCKING: Compression stockings at 10-15 mm hg (therapeutic grade) can help control edema during pregnancy. They may not be fun to get on and off, but they will prevent swelling, varicosities, and help with day end fatigue (you won't feel like you've been wearing lead shoes). I hope this helps relieve some discomfort.

Elevate and compress: Swelling of the feet is common in pregnancy, especially the latter months. Try spending more time with your feet elevated and obtain some above-the-calf gradient compression hose from larger pharmacies or athletic/sport stores.

Compression stocking: These can be found at a lot of "home medical" stores. The best regular use compression socks (my opinion) are made by thorlo (www.Thorlo.Com). Go to their site and search "over calf" for a number of styles and colors.
