How long does a clavicle fracture in a child take to heal?

Clavicle fractures: The good news is that clavicle fractures typically heal faster in children than adults. Although clavicle fractures can vary in severity, typically 1 week of immobilization per year of age up to 4 weeks is needed for a fracture to heal in a child. Contact sports should be avoided for a total of 6-8 weeks after the original injury.
