Cervical Cancer Risk: It's the hpv that is the culprit; the reason "starting at an early age" is cited, is that it merely increases the chances of picking up the hpv virus, especially if one has multiple partners. Since you are monogamous and hpv free, you are at low risk. Just continue to get regular pap smears.

Possibly: Having sex at a young age does not by itself cause cervical cancer...Generally if someone starts having sex at a younger age, their likelihood of having multiple sexual partners over their lifetime increases and thus increase the likelihood of getting hpv which can lead to cervical cancer. Please make sure you are seen by your gyn for routine exams and may consider a vaccine such as gardisil.
