New treatments exist: Anal leakage is typically dietary and may respond to simple stool bulking. The use of insoluble fiber like metamucil or konsyl may help. Getting to 25gr/ day of fiber is a goal. A sound exam of the sphincters would rule out other issues like sphincter decline or overflow issues or even hemorrhoids. Try fiber first and see a specialist if this fails.

There is: Anal leakage can be caused by several things. It could be hemorrhoids, abscess, weak muscles, diarrhea. You should start with a visit to the colon and rectal surgeon. There are ways to treat all of those things. Feel free to write again if you get a diagnosis and have further questions. Thanks.
