Time: Unfortunately there is no way to rid adhesions. They appear to form the most during the inflammation period following surgery. Like the first 6 months. After that they tend to decrease or stabilize. Your body is most likely adjusting to a new healing process and it takes time. If you notice constipation, prolonged periods of pain, nausea or vomiting contact your doctor.

Need more info...: I am always apprehensive when i hear the words "adhesions" and "pain" in the same sentence. Adhesions are a very common by-product of abdominal and pelvic surery and usually cause no symptoms whatsoever. Furthermore, they can only be seen surgically: not on physical exam, not by x-rays or u/s. I advise you to see your ob/gyne or primary care doctor to help sort out the cause of your pain.
