NONO: Hpv in some people can cause precancer and cancer but you can have hpv and a normal cervical pap, some people with hpv can become hpv neg over time, if u have hpv you doc should be following u and your doc should diagnose precancer before it turns into cancer usually.

Just a risk: The strains of hpv that we test for do put you at risk for cervical cancer, which is why your physician will keep up close surveillance. I'm glad it was detected and with good follow-up it's almost certain that any problems can be managed without ruining your health.
