What causes chronic elevated wbc's , on no meds , mention of lymph nodes in para aortic are and retroperitoneal, also they have been noted in axilla?

This pattern: Could be seen in indolent non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Would not say more without details on the degree and type of wbcs increased and the size of the nodes.
