Could be rib: The ribs and clavicle are attached to the sternum through joints. As a result of the fracture you may have injured your costo chondral joint or sterno clavicular joint. An orthopedic surgeon should be able to make the diagnosis. Both conditions are difficult to treat and have so so treatment results. If surgery is recommended be certain he/she has preformed this many times and has good results.
