Here are...: - use pain med as needed, usually don't need much; - strain urine to retrieve stone fragments; - obtain a kub (a x-ray of abdomen) right after eswl, and another one in 1-2 weeks, depending the clinical need. - at times, one may need intervention through urethra to remove stone fragments stuck in distal ureter with/without stent... Individual difference may exist among practiioners. So, ask doc.
