Not really: Cough medications don't work and cause side effects, so they are no longer recommended. She likely has a viral infection, a cold. You could give her tylenol, (acetaminophen) and i would use saline nasal drops followed by suctioning with a blue bulb syringe. Frequently clearing the nose helps a lot, though they don't like it while you're doing it.
