A member asked:

I went to the er last night and they said i have a uti. but it didn't burn when i pee. is it supposed to burn when i pee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not always: There are possible symptoms for a UTI including dysuria (burning when you pee), polyuria (frequent urination), urinary hesitancy (difficulty starting to pee), incomplete voiding (feeling you have to pee again right after peeing), back pain, spasms, fever, nausea, etc. Any of these symptoms can occur.
