Likely PostViral : It's likely a post viral cough. It can last up to 2-3 weeks sometimes. Go see your doctor if you can't stop coughing over 7 days. Regular Robitussin (guaifenesin) may not be fine. Also, pertussus is making it way back and baby boomers did not get their tdap booster. Go see your doctor.

Chronic bronchitis: You are describing chronic bronchitis or chronic cough which has several causes. Post-nasal drip and chronic inflammation of the nose and sinuses is common.
