Lump: I would get this assessed by your pediatrician. It may be an enlarged lymph node of maybe an infection.

See doctor.: There are several different possible causes, ranging from an enlarged lymph node or salivary gland, to a cyst, to an abscess, to a tumor. You are right to be concerned. Please have him seen soon by his doctor, who can evaluate him and see if any studies are needed.
