Yes: "cancer screening" can take many forms. In many ways, having a regular complete exam with your primary care physician is a type cancer screening. More invasive or specific tests are usually not revealing and end up being very expensive. Talk to your doctor about what kind of leukemia your father had, and any other relatives who had cancer. Then your doctor can see if more testing is necessary.

Leukemia is: Neither heritable or "catchy". There are no recommended screens for people in their 30's. Psa tests are quite controversial, and only those with family history of death from prostate cancer, and mammograms for women over 40...Younger if at high risk.
