No: Many women have fibroids, but only about 15% of women with fibroids need surgery. Only fibroids that cause symptoms need to be treated- pain, pressure, bleeding and possibly infertility.

Depends on what : Your reproductive goals are and what symptoms you have. Patients with mutiple fibroids can have heavy periods and cramping adn this can be rather bothersome. There are many options to consider, some more aggressive than others, but your decision should uiltiamtely hinge on your future reproductive desires.
