Time: There is no medical or dietary means to lighten a sun tan once it has taken place on your skin. Only time will alter it - the tan will gradually fade if you avoid exposure to the sun or tanning lights. Next time try sunblocking agents if you do not desire a tan.

Time: Sun tan will fade with time. You can help the process by using a sun screen so that you are not adding to the existing tan. It is not wise to use skin lightening chemicals.
