I have a back pain while traveling a bike?

Back pain is common among bicyclists who also have pain with bending forward and with heavy lifting. If you have a history of back pain, see your doctor. It is also possible that the bicycle itself is poorly sized for you. If you have a good bike shop near you, perhaps someone there is capable of assessing the fit of your bicycle for frame size, seat height and handlebar placement.

Dr Madonna provides excellent tips to practically approach your bicycling, and would add a few more comments. It would be very helpful to have your doctor rule out a structural back problem such as ankylosing spondylitis or lumbar stenosis. Physical therapy could help you develop an exercise program, such as a McKenzie protocol.
