What can i do for a gallbladder attack?

Surgery: Once acute episode is over you need surgery referral for laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Also need comprehensive blood test and ultrasound.

Pain meds, time.: Gallbladder pain is almost always due to blockage of the outflow of bile from the gallbladder due to a stone. Usually, the obstructing stone will "fall back" into the gallbladder within an hour or so, leading to complete resolution of the pain. If the attack lasts for hours, it is advisable to go to an er to receive pain meds (which may "break" an attack) +/- admission for definitive care-surgery.

Gallbladder attack: A gallbladder attack occurs when a stone blocks the exit from the gallbladder. The gallbladder continues to squeeze and that is what causes pain. Treatment is to remove the gallbladder.

Pain! : Right abdominal pain under your ribs, fevers , nausea bloating, vomiting. Tender to the touch. If concerned, see your doctor. If really bad, go to ER
