Vasospasm: It sound as if you have peripheral arterial disease or raynaud's syndrome, which is spasm of the arterioles (small arteries in your toes) . In view of your age, raynaud's sounds like a more likely diagnosis. As a first line treatment, wear warm socks, stop smoking, if you do, and if possible, minimize your anxiety level. If these measures do not improve your condition, see a podiatrist or pcp.
