Slight issue: There are some in vitro and animal studies indicating that valerian could moderately inhibit one of the liver enzymes (cyp 3a4) necessary to process zoloft (sertraline). However, zoloft (sertraline) has multiple metabolic pathways so you should be okay if using less than 1000mg/day of valerian. Make sure your preparation is made from only the root, and not the whole plant.
