do you know of any safe medication i could take to curb my allergic reactions to crab and shrimps? & what causes these

Dr. Michael Rothman

No : Do not eat foods that you are allergic to under any circumstances. These foods are like poison to you and taking some medication to dampen your allergic response is not healthy. There are plenty of other foods to eat beside crab and shrimp.

Muscle protein: The allergen in shrimp and crab is probably a common allergen called tropomyosin which is a muscle protein.
