Many causes: Blood in mouth could be from your gums, esophagus, windpipe or nose. See an ENT doctor for complete examination of your upper aerodigestive tract first. If negative finding, see gastroenterologist (vomitting blood)and/or pulmonologist (coughing up blood).

Specializes in Prosthodontics

MD & Periodontist: See your md for evaluation of your diabetes and see a periodontist and possibly prosthodontist. Your tissues may be adversely affected by the diabetes, and you may need to be followed by the gum tissue specialist (periodontist). If it is also a bite - related problem , see the prosthodontist. All 3 may work together to help you. Don't wait ! good luck.
