It's natural: What you describe is almost certainly a form of migraine ("catamenial migraine"). Some women simply are prone to this; it would be extremely rare to be a reflection of any structural problem. It is treatable and you should talk with your doctor. A type of medication called 'triptan' may help, and there may be a preventive strategy. Some neurologists may have more experience with this.
