Depends: If your willing to modify your activity and brace the knee then you probably can wait. Realize you have less stability in that knee so it is easier to cause additional injury to it. At your young age i recommend fixing it.

Maybe: Studies of people with torn acls show that the longer they wait the greater the chance of damaging other structures in the knee such as meniscus and articular cartilage; when this additional damage is present the outcomes of surgery are not as good; if you already have meniscus or cartilage damage you may not want to delay that long; talk to your local md, consider a second opinion.
