Nighmares are common: It sounds like you woke up after a nightmare and we're feeling the symptoms of panic. If this happens often, visiting a psychiatrist may help. Daily stressors or fears often cause this. Does this happen frequently? Are you able to return to sleep quickly? Lastly, if you are on any medications, specifically psych medications, you may be experiencing side effects.
