ITB syndrome: The recommended treatment includes activity modification(relative rest, less mileage, attention to surface you are training on), stretching(medical literature does not clearly demonstrate this modality to be effective), massage(there are tools on the market to perform to self--graston), footwear adjustment(dependent on foot type and include orthotics), physical therapy, medication, and injections.
