Not likely: CABG will relieve angina, and in some circumstances increase life expectancy. Risk reduction efforts stop smoking regular exercize weight control may affect the hypertension.

CABG: CABG will not eliminate hypertension. You may need CABG depending on the anatomy and symptoms.
