Many causes: Often, shaving can irritate the area and as hair grows, you can feel itching in that area that resolves within days. Tight trousers that rub against the region may cause irritation. New underwear can also be a culprit. Avoid itching if possible. In the elderly, if you notice skin changes or persistent itching, see your OB gyn doctor to rule out other conditions.
