Varies: Some shedding is normal but you may have persistent air loss.If this is disturbing use over the punter rogaine (minoxidil) or see dermtologist for evaluation and possible Propecia prescription.

Yes!: It is normal to lose 100+ hairs per day. Hair that breaks mid-shaft is due to rough treatment or damage from chemicals, sun or heat. Hair that pulls out w/ bulb was let loose because it was at the end of it's cycle. Most hairs fall out after about 2 years, and yes, new hairs replace them. Replacement hairs may be fewer due to aging, hormone changes, stress, etc.
