It depend: Minor injuries could be treated with 1- conservative management (splint, anti-inflammatory medications, ergonomic job modification). 2- surgery which could be done by (arthroscopy), or done by open means.

There are different: Grades and causes but the range is conservative treatment such as splinting to shortening the ulna to fusing the lunate and triquetrum. To managing the issues assocaited with it ( such as cartilage tear) with arthroscopy. A grade 1 tear or minor tear is not the same as ahigh grade teat accompanied by ulnar impaction. It is very important for one with this diagnsosis to discuss with treating docs.
