Positional low BP: Postural or orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure) may be the cause. In older individuals, sluggish cardiovascular reflexes that normally would keep the BP up with changes in position may be the culprit. Otherwise, look for causes of dehydration or adverse effects of medications. There are rarer causes that may be more serious. If persistent, you should consult your physician.
