Many causes: Risk and contributory factors to causing cancers would include genetics/family history of it, excessive exposure to agents- chemicals, pollutants, radiation, biologic, sometimes, we don't exactly know. Normal cells would grow, divide and die at an even pace but cancer cells would grow and divide at an alarmingly fast pace that it crowd out and impair the growth of surrounding normal cells.
