Bone loss, etc.: Testosterone deficiency can cause bone loss, muscle weakness, increased body fat, depression and impotence. Treatment with testosterone is highly effective.

Correct Dx: Low-t {hypogonadism} is usually diagnosed with a morning total testosteron level below 300 ng/dl. This test will be repeated since there is some variability in morning testosterone levels. If you have an issue with sex hormone binding globulin {shbg} and/or your total testosterone is below 150 ng/dl, then you can expect even more testing. I recommend you undergo a standard workup.
