If you feel : You have pain secondary to flatfeet, why not try orthotics? Losing weight is a good idea as well.

It will help: I am assuming you are having patella tendon based pain. Weight loss will help in the long run. However, in the short run frequent quadriceps and hamstring stretching will help. In addition, if you can safely take a short course of nsaids for 10 to 14 days i would. Also, get some 3/4 length arch supports from your local pharmacy or sporting goods store. Finally, avoid provocative activity.
