BPH and Renal Cysts: Enlarged prostate (BPH) results from an increase number of cells in the gland. Medicines to shrink or relax the prostate are sufficient for many. Some require surgery. Simple kidney cysts arise for unclear reasons but are harmless. When cysts are more complex or cause kidney dysfunction, evaluation and treatment, usually with close follow up, are critical. Bph and cysts are common benign problems.
