Needs testing: Unfortunately this will need an examination to determine the cause and treatment plan. Yeast is the most likely cause. Get tested for diabetes since this is a recurring problem. Ask for a biopsy to look for causes such as lichen sclerosis and lichen simplex chronicus. These are treated with steroids. Others are having an allergic reaction to household items like soap, detergent or maxi pads.
