5 full days on antibiotics (amoxicillin) for an ear infection and instead of getting better i have a "clogged" ear and major pain. any suggestions ?

Take decongestant: You can try taking an over the counter decongestant and a pain reliever together, like sudafed plus tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil. Don't put anything into your ear without seeing a doctor first. If your ear drains or otc meds don't help after a day or so, you may have an infection with a bacteria that your antibiotic doesn't cover. See your doc.
