No: Likely your lung has emphysematous and surface changes from chronic smoking! if you had a blood clot( pulmonary embolism )this further damages the lungs. There may be worse things than smoking in this situation but I am having trouble listing them.

NO! Refrain: Any kind of smoking will irritate the lining of your lungs which may cause the emboli to dislodge. If you need a nicotine "fix", use nicorette gum as directed (chew and park technique) to curb your desire to smoke. Use with caution and very sparingly because nicotine will cause the Coumadin (warfarin) to breakdown in your body at a faster rate than someone who does not use nicotine products.
